WELCOME BABY! NEWBORN & BREASTFEEDING CLASS

Welcome Your Baby with Confidence!

Welcome Baby! Newborn and Breastfeeding Class addresses life after the baby arrives! The class covers the most vital and comprehensive information available for easing your transition to parenthood.

WE FOCUS ON 4 AREAS OF PREPARATION:

1. Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding: Everything you need to know to get off to a great start and avoid common problems such as nipple pain, engorgement, and low milk supply.

2. Understanding and Soothing Your Newborn: Newborn cues, how to understand what your baby needs, and tips for soothing a fussy baby.

3. Hot Topics: Discussion of topics such as attachment, sleep, and feeding schedules.  We offer evidence-based information and discussion on a range of parenting practices. This portion of class is very supportive of diverse approaches to lifestyle and provides a clear foundation of understanding on these critical topics.

4. Holistic Wellbeing: This section covers information that will help you be happy and healthy during the demanding transition to parenting.  We cover tips for creating a strong family foundation, keeping your relationship joyful, finding life balance, and more. Anticipatory guidance is given around areas of change such as sexuality, spirituality, and recovery of physical strength after pregnancy.

It is not uncommon for us to hear from parents months after their baby is born sharing reports that the information in this class made a huge difference to them as they navigated the major ways life has changed since having a baby.  It’s also the class that many experienced parents say “I wish we would have had something like that. It really would have helped.” Having a baby can be absolutely wonderful. Knowing how to tip the scale in that direction makes a big difference!

The Welcome Baby! Newborn and Breastfeeding class is held on one Saturday a month from 10am-2:30pm.

***Please note that this class is offered in a live-virtual format.  Participants join for 4.5 hour of real-time instruction, allowing for individualized and responsive learning, and plenty of time for relevant questions with your instructor.  Each student also receives exclusive access to a comprehensive prenatal, postnatal, and newborn learning website for enhanced learning. This includes multi-media resources and deep-dive on specialty topics that are available to each participant for 12 months! This class is only offered virtually for optimal convenience for our group class participants. ***
